President-elect Donald J. Trump is already showing that he’s serious about reforming the bloated and corrupt federal government and made a major move to restructure it.

A week after his historic election win, Trump announced that billionaire X owner Elon Musk and former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will head up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a move that enraged big government leftists but will be welcomed by voters who sent him back to Washington, D.C. with a mandate to drain the swamp.

On Tuesday night, Trump said that the two would work together to “dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” music to the ears of those who correctly view the government as inefficient and oppressive.

Calling it potentially the “Manhattan Project of our time,” the soon-to-be 47th president said that “Republican politicians have dreamed about the objectives of ‘DOGE’ for a very long time,” adding that changing the bureaucracy will make “life better for all Americans.”

“This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!” Musk stated.

“Importantly, we will drive out the massive waste and fraud which exists throughout our annual $6.5 Trillion Dollars of Government Spending. They will work together to liberate our Economy, and make the U.S. Government accountable to ‘WE THE PEOPLE.’” Trump said.

“Their work will conclude no later than July 4, 2026 – A smaller Government, with more efficiency and less bureaucracy, will be the perfect gift to America on the 250th Anniversary of The Declaration of Independence. I am confident they will succeed!” Trump added.

Musk pledged “maximum transparency” for the efforts to clean up the expensive mess.

“All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency,” he wrote on X. “Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know!

“We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining,” the Tesla/SpaceX CEO added.

“SHUT IT DOWN,” Ramaswamy said in a post to X.

“DOGE will soon begin crowdsourcing examples of government waste, fraud, & and abuse. Americans voted for drastic government reform & they deserve to be part of fixing it,” he wrote in another post announcing that examples will be crowdsourced.

Predictably, Democrats and their fellow big government leftists were resistant to changes.

“The Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with split leadership: two people to do the work of one person. Yeah, this seems REALLY efficient,” whined Sen. Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren (D-MA).

MSNBC’s Alex Wagner called DOGE “Orwellian” and said, “Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk [are] being offered jobs in a fantasy football league.”

Other left-wing talking heads reassured their audiences – which includes much of the bloated and soon-to-be-gone D.C. bureaucrats – that there will be obstruction to sweeping changes.

“First of all, it’s not going to be a governmental department as I understand it and there are actually rules and statutes that apply, I think,” said rabidly anti-Trump attorney George Conway who was a guest of Wagner’s.

“If you wanna get rid of part of a government department. If you want to change the structure of the Department of Education, the Department of the Interior, you have to go through all these steps,” said CNN Zoom masturbator Jeffrey Toobin. “And like it or not, these two entrepreneurs are gonna have to start learning that and following it and it’s gonna drive them crazy, and we’ll see how much they actually do.”

“There are around 428 federal agencies. There’s so many that people have never even heard of,” Musk said in a clip of his talk with Tucker Carlson. “I think we should be able to get away with 99 agencies.”
