As the second Trump administration begins to take shape there are few confirmations about who will staff the most vital positions but two who were hoping to get jobs will be on the outside looking in.

On Saturday, the president-elect announced that two veterans of his first term in the White House won’t be coming back, with former CIA director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley left to seek employment elsewhere.

“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said in a post to Truth Social.

The soon-to-be 47th president of the United States has emphasized that he wants to end the foreign wars that the nation has become embroiled in under the Biden-Harris regime and concentrate on problems at home and the rejection of the two warmongers is consistent with that vision.

Pompeo’s name has been linked to the openings at the top of the Pentagon and at Foggy Bottom, both of which may be in better hands if run by someone much less bellicose.

Haley, a darling of the neocon Never Trumpers, has struggled to get back in Trump’s good graces after she ran a hostile campaign for the GOP nomination, persisting with staying in the race even after being drubbed in primary after primary, even in her home state of South Carolina where she was a two-term governor.

The former top diplomat took the news with grace, wishing Trump success even though the rejection had to be disappointing to her.

“I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations,” Haley wrote in a post to X. “I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years.”

Trump’s first big decisions left many feeling impressed.

Another name that’s come up as trying to worm his way into the Trump administration is jab-obsessed fake meat pusher Bill Gates.

One of Trump’s biggest problems during his first four years in the White House was some of his personnel decisions with a cadre of self-interested, backstabbing snakes and saboteurs ending up with key positions. Keeping Pompeo and Haley out is a good sign that he’s not going to be fooled again.
