A longtime aide to Hillary Clinton admitted Friday that the modern Democrat Party has become beholden to insane radicals.
Political consultant Philippe Reines made the admission on CNN while arguing that most Democrats aren’t like these radicals.
Listen:
.@PhilippeReines with some tough medicine for his party @CNNThisMorning:
He says being held hostage to the far left, that most Democrats he knows think the border is a problem & “males at birth” shouldn’t play women’s sports
And he adds:

“I don’t like the fact that a small portion of our party is pretty much dictating where we are,” he began, adding that the entire Democrat Party has been branded as “extreme” because of these radicals.
“It is not only politically problematic, as we just saw, because none of this stuff helped the other day, without a doubt it’s a problem. But we need to take stock of why we are being held hostage to the far left. No one should be and wants to be kowtowing to the extremes of their own parties that just shouldn’t. To the extent that majorities should rule, the majority of Democrats don’t agree with the things that we are being tagged with,” he added.
Host Kasie Hunt then asked him to “tick through a couple of those things.”
“I think Democrats believe in common sense stuff more than you’d realize,” Reines replied. “I mean it’s not like any of us sit at home and don’t talk to anyone. Most Democrats I know think there’s a huge problem at the border. Most Democrats I know think, frankly, that males at birth shouldn’t play in women’s sports and vice versa.”
“Now, you can have a healthy conversation within a party, and you have to have a room within a party for all this. But at the end of the day, if you have some of these issues that are 80-20 across the country, you’ve really got to figure out why they are being so tagged with one,” he added.
He’s not the only one who’s called for Democrats to moderate. So has Rep. Seth Moulton, who told The New York Times in an interview published Thursday that the Democrats’ obsession with identity politics is destroying them.
“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” he said. “I have two little girls. I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat, I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”
Here’s the problem: His common-sense remarks prompted massive outrage from the radicalized left.
Case in point:
Actually yes, you should be afraid of being a transphobic piece of shit

Seth Moulton represents my district. He’s my congressman. I’m stunned and embarrassed he said this. I’ve seen transgender students. They look like any other students except for attire. Not one played football.

Philippe is the kind of small man who in 2004 would have been throwing same-sex couples under the bus for demanding civil marriage rights, and in 1968 blaming uppity blacks for Humphrey’s loss. He’s no ally to anyone other than his own straight White wealth, to hell with him.

As a female athlete who plays in coed leagues this is embarrassing @sethmoulton.
Beyond your false idea that all males athletes are inherently better than every woman, these people just want to live their lives as who they are not gain some pretend competitive advantage.

I’ve lived in #MA6 my entire life. @sethmoulton taking the cheese and moving right in trans issues is abhorrent. In HS, there was a cis-male field hockey player at one of the schools. It was treated as an interesting oddity from what I remember. Moulton has lost my vote forever pic.twitter.com/aiGptRDDt1

But it gets worse!
Even Moulton’s own top aide has resigned amid the controversy over his common-sense remarks.
“Matt Chilliak, Moulton’s campaign manager and director of his ‘Serve America’ political committee [revealed] that he resigned but did not address if it was related to the comments and directed further questions to Moulton’s office,” the Boston Globe has confirmed.
Evidently, many Democrats have zero interest in learning anything — anything at all — from their epic loss to President-elect Donald Trump.
