After backlash for questioning the results of the 2024 election, one talking head’s excuse hardly helped his case.

As many Democratic Party voters remained incredulous that referring to large swaths of the American populous as “Nazis” and “garbage” hadn’t been a winning message for Vice President Kamala Harris, many who’d knocked concerns over election integrity in the past were singing a different tune since former President Donald Trump had been named the victor.

SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah, known for fearmongering over the GOP leader and asserting he’d attempt “to illegally overthrow” the outcome of the 2020 election, sang an entirely different tune on Friday.

After initially raising doubts and calling for “public recounts and audits,” backlash for slamming Elon Musk as well had resulted in the commentator doubling down while downplaying his original posts.

“What started as I thought was simply trolling Trump supporters has now created real questions about how Trump won and [especially] how did Harris get so many less votes than Biden [sic]. I’m going to do more research over the weekend and write about it,” Obeidallah wrote on X.

Only hours earlier, he had garnered more than 3 million views by posting, “The growing chorus of Democrats raising questions about whether Trump won legitimately is now too big to simply ignore.”

“I’m not saying there was fraud– but I am saying we need public recounts and audits so that people can trust the system,” he went on.

The radio host further contended, “If anyone could fund a massive election fraud scheme it’s Elon musk [sic]. He also has motive.”

The ongoing “troll” had Obeidallah further state, “I would sincerely recommend that Biden Admin — while Biden has absolute immunity –have his DHS work with state officials to examine the election results in key states. That would help alleviate concerns that Trump and Elon Musk somehow cheated to win,” and “Trump was convicted of 34 felonies for cheating in the 2016 campaign. He was charged with federal and state crimes for cheating in the 2020 election. If he lost this election, he was facing life in jail. Given this, it’s fair to question whether Trump cheated in 2024 election.”

Worth remembering, Obeidallah had argued only weeks after the 2020 election that then-President-elect Joe Biden and Democratic leaders should have asserted that questions about election integrity should have been labeled “part of an attempted coup to illegally overthrow the Biden presidency,” and cast said technicalities about the terminology arguing, “now is not the time for academic debates” in writing for NBC News.

For his initial post and the subsequent commentary, the pundit earned considerable flak while leftists failing to cope with the results many considered a mandate, as Trump had won both the electoral college and the popular vote, found themselves in agreement.
