There couldn’t be a better example of how out of touch the elite snobs in the media are with the concerns of ordinary Americans than the one served up by “Morning” Joe Scarborough.

As Democrat surrogates in the media picked through the rubble of Kamala Harris’ electoral implosion, the MSNBC host was stunned when informed about how much the cost of butter has gone up over the last four years during Thursday’s edition of the regime propaganda show.

While noting that Trump did better with voters in New York, the former Republican turned White House mouthpiece recalled how a Harris supporter correctly predicted her loss during a recent conversation with him.

“I want to talk about the economy for a second, a few weeks ago, three weeks ago, somebody who was gonna be voting for Kamala Harris came up to me and said, ‘Oh, my god, Trump’s gonna win,’ I go, ‘why is that?’ He goes, ‘I just went to the grocery store, butter’s over $3.’ I kind of laughed and said, I said, ‘Well, that’s kind of productive, isn’t it?’ I said it to myself,” Scarborough explained. “I smiled at him and said good point, but actually, everything we’re hearing after the election is…”

“It’s $7,” interjected his co-host and spouse Mika Brzezinski, “I’m just saying. “Just saying…”

“What’s that?” Scarborough asked.

“$7,” Brezinski repeated.

Scarborough was stunned: “What’s that? Butter is $7?…“What, s it framed in gold?”

“Depends where you go. 7 bucks,” she said.

“Okay, well yeah,” Scarborough stammered. “Anyway, my point is this, the rent is too damn high, and this guy was saying, the cost of butter is way damn too high.”

Scarborough’s surprise over the skyrocketing cost of everyday grocery items was ridiculed by X users.

In the famous words of longtime Democrat consultant James Carville – a regular presence on MSNBC – “It’s the economy stupid.”
