Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry has survived a tough general election challenge and will keep the House seat for Republicans.

The Associated Press called the race for Perry on Thursday afternoon.

Perry represented the state’s 4th district from 2013 to 2017 before being reelected to the newly drawn 10th district, according to the website for TV station WGAL.

His Democratic challenger was Janelle Stelson, a former local news anchor.

Perry was considered one of the most vulnerable House Republicans of this election cycle.

Perry is a member House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Foreign Affairs, Oversight and Accountability, and Intelligence, the TV station also reports.
