President-elect Donald Trump not only won the 2024 election, but he also claimed territory close to the heart of Gov. Tim Walz.
Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz of Minnesota were soundly beaten on Election Day, but one county in particular has to sting more than any other. Blue Earth County, Minnesota, where the Walz family had lived for 20 years before the governor was elected, went to Trump with 49.6 percent. Harris received 48.3 percent of the vote making it a tight race, but it was clear who the people wanted to see in the White House.
This small detail was not lost on Trump supporters and other X users:
The media called JD Vance “weird” constantly while selling Tim Walz as a great VP choice who would help Kamala gain votes across the Midwest…
They lost his home county in Minnesota.

The contrast of Vance versus Walz
is even more dramatic than
the contrast of Trump to Harris.

I’m starting to think the Dems threw this on purpose

A football coach would never lose their home county. Now, as an assistant coach, that is a different story.

That’s gotta be a tough pill to swallow

His home county ran a pick 6 play.

Definitely a tactical error. Vance comes across as completely normal, and Walz is as weird as a football bat. Their “Vance is weird” campaign was successful enough that people heard it and remembered it when it turned out to be the opposite.

So pathetic! Tim Walz has to be the worst VP pick ever in our lifetime. Could have been more worse for him as Trump almost flipped Minnesota. Even Minnesotans are fed up with this guy
