NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo took a shot at fellow journalist Megyn Kelly who emphasized that President-elect Donald J. Trump will protect women.
During the cable network’s election coverage, the former CNN host was discussing Trump’s historic political comeback with Bill O’Reilly and ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith when Cuomo ridiculed Kelly’s remarks during a Monday speech in Pittsburgh where she endorsed him.
The topic of discussion was an alleged enemies “list” that Trump has and that he will reportedly go after his political enemies once he takes office, a matter of pure speculation that served as the basis for the narrative that he’s a dictator like Hitler.

“Trump’s capacity to hate you is limited,” O’Reilly stated. “There is a list, alright, of people he feels are flat-out evil and corrupt, and I wouldn’t want to be those people, but it’s not a long list.”
“Am I on it?” Cuomo asked of the alleged list that has had Trump’s persecutors sweating for months.
“Uh, no, you’re not on it,” O’Reilly answered, before bringing up Kelly, “There’s a few, and they’re in the justice system, that’s where his beef primarily is, but you remember Megyn Kelly tearing him to pieces in 2016, well, who’s his best pal now?”
Cuomo then did his impersonation of Kelly, making motions of worship with his arms and mockingly saying, “I wanna be protected! I wanna be protected!”
“He got mocked by the left for saying he would be a protector of women,” Kelly said during her speech at the rally. “He will be a protector of women, and it’s why I’m voting for him. He will close the border, he will keep the boys out of girls’ sports and where they don’t belong.”

“No. I mean, listen, she made it clear she was supporting him, number one,” Smith argued. “She was gonna vote for him and she spoke adamantly against the opposition because she didn’t like the direction that the country was going in, and so as a result of that, in his eyes, they became likeminded and that’s why he let that go. If she was still doing the same things that she was doing in 2016, it would have been a different animal.”
“100 percent,” Cuomo added.
“He will be a protector of women. And it’s why I’m voting for him,” Kelly also said in Pittsburgh. “He will close the border. He will keep the boys out of girls’ sports and where they don’t belong.
“And you know what else? One more thing. He will look out for our boys, our forgotten boys, and our forgotten men. Guys like you. Guys like these guys. Who got the calluses on their hands? Who work for a living with the beards and the tats. Who maybe have a beer after work and don’t want to be judged by people like Oprah and Beyoncé, who will never have to face the consequences of her disastrous economic policies,” she added.
