Former President Donald Trump, soon to be the 47th President of the United States, delivered an empowering victory speech on Wednesday morning, vowing to usher in America’s “golden age.”
Speaking to supporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump promised to enact “common sense” policies when he returns to the White House.
“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” Trump said.
“This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country.”
Trump said his supporters had “achieved the most incredible political thing,” promising to secure the border, pursue peace in foreign policy, and increase energy production.
The former President also thanked his family and supporters, including Elon Musk, pro-golfer Bryson DeChambeau, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and podcast host Joe Rogan.
“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,” Trump said, referencing his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“And now we are going to fulfill that mission together.”
“I will fight for you, for your family and your future every single day,” he added.
“I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.”
“This will truly be the golden age of America.”
“And now it’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal,” Trump continued.
“We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly. We’re going to fix our borders, we’re going to fix everything about our country. We made history for a reason tonight.”
Trump also praised his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), who said, “We just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.”
