Data from Google revealed that there was a surge in searches for “moving to Canada” on Tuesday, as election night wore on and it looked increasingly likely that former President Donald Trump would return to the White House in January.

Trump did win the presidency early Wednesday morning, over Vice President Kamala Harris, and has flipped at least five of the seven battleground states. He won Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Google data said the searches for “moving to Canada,” and “immigrate to Canada” began increasing at 8 p.m. Eastern. People also looked at moving to Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, among others per Nexstar Media.

The online searches for Canada increased by 5,000%. Possible moves to Canada also increased drastically after the 2016 presidential election, which saw Trump elected to his first term in office.

The states that had residents most interested in fleeing the country include Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado and New Mexico.
