Seattle police arrested five demonstrators on Tuesday night, after they allegedly damaged property during an election night protest, authorities said.
A few dozen people participated in the protest, but only a handful had caused any damage. The demonstrators did not appear to be affiliated with a specific political party, but appeared anti-Israel and anti-police.
The five arrested allegedly tagged property with anti-police, pro-Palestine graffiti that read “Kill Cops,” “ACAB,” “Free Palestine,” and more, Fox News reported. The protests were also advertised in flyers around the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, where the protesters accused Israel of committing a “new Holocaust” in Gaza.
Seattle police have not identified the five suspects so far.
