Stunned by the failed demonization of former President Donald Trump, the panel on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” endeavored to process how Trump “knows our country better than we do.”

Wednesday morning included a lot of bitter pill-swallowing on the left and around corporate media as the unceasing negativity spun up against the GOP leader proved ineffective and resulted in him not only securing the White House, the Senate, and potentially the House but also clinching the first Republican popular vote win in decades.
Soaking it all in one day after planting his feet in disbelief about the considerable number of people backing Trump, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough was left stunned by the president’s dominance in red states as well as the narrowing of margins in deep blue strongholds.
“I’ve got to say, this is the biggest red wave I’ve seen since Ronald Reagan’s 49-state victory in 1984,” he said after calling out the slim gaps in Illinois and New Jersey. “It seems every Republican across the country improved.”
While Willie Geist pointed out Trump was on track to sweep the battleground states with four of the seven already called in his favor, Scarborough continued, “America, first of all, is far more to the right than any time in our lifetimes.”
“Even going back to the Reagan years. And Donald Trump won in dominating fashion. But he did that along with other Republican candidates in the Senate races and the House races. They’re likely to dominate all branches of government for the next several years,” he went on.
Turning his disbelief to Jonathan Lemire, the host remarked, “The scope and scale of this victory is sweeping.”
“This is a Democratic Party that has been just wiped out this morning,” he added as the correspondent replied, “Yeah, Republicans steamrolled.”
In addition to Lemire falling back on rattling off the typical spiel about Trump’s impeachments, indictments, and alleged insurrections inspiration, former Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill contributed, “I think we have to acknowledge that Donald Trump knows our country better than we do. I think he figured out that anger — and frankly, fear — were way more powerful than appealing to people’s better angels.”

“That anger and fear were going to work in this election. Whether you’re afraid of immigrants or afraid of people who are trans, he figured that out,” she continued as she spun support for national sovereignty and the defense of women’s spaces as a bad thing. “And I think we all thought everyone’s better angels would prevail. Turns out, the better angels went on vacation when Donald Trump came down the escalator. And they haven’t returned.”
Seemingly lost on the talking heads was a point well-noted by Elon Musk who, largely credited with impacting the election as a result of his 2022 purchase of the social media platform now known as X, said of the public disregarded corporate media, “You are the media now.”
This totally tracks with how liberals lick their wounds, by making excuses and reinforcing their superiority.

@clairecmc you have no clue. Trump won simply because he loves America and so do we. It’s not complicated. Stop with your spin No one is buying it.

If the MSM was honest, this would have been bigger than Reagan.
