The party of “joy” used comedic star power to pitch a closing message aimed at voters that sounded every bit “like a death threat.”

Leaning heavily on low information, the Democratic Party resorted to their typical grade school-style popularity contest tactics by enlisting celebrities to make voters feel like they were one of the cool kids for supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

After stiffing rally-goers on a chance to hear Beyoncé sing and assembling the Avengers to be “down with democracy,” the campaign took their “Elf” off the shelf and trotted out Will Ferrell who came across as less Buddy and more “Mean Girls.”

While a patriotic melody played, the “Saturday Night Live” alum began, “This election is going to be one of the closest in history. Your vote will make the difference,” only to have the music cut and Ferrell’s tone change toward aggression, “That means you, Gary. Oh, blah blah blah. I’m just one person. No. Shut the f*ck up, Gary.”

The emotional whiplash had the actor swing back to inspiring briefly, only to steer right back to an ominous warning as he said, “Last time, only a few thousand votes kept Trump out of office. And this time, we will hold you personally responsible, Gary.”

Sharing a portion of the ad, the End Wokeness account on X contended, “Kamala’s closing message to male voters sounds like a death threat.”

Ferrell’s participation in campaigning for the Democratic Party continued his own particular brand of outreach where he joined Billy Eichner for an electioneering version of “Billy on the Street” and the two donned “Loud White Men for Kamala” t-shirts while they ran around New York City asking people questions like whether or not they would have sex with a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

In the same way that social media users found the skit “cringe,” much like they had chafed at Harrison Ford’s last-minute appeal on behalf of the vice president, Ferrell’s reminder, “Don’t forget to vote, Gary,” was not only received poorly but left a considerable number of people contending that they were done watching any films featuring the comedian who’d recently released a documentary on Netflix pushing gender ideology.

“Sounds like a threat to me. Now they’ve resorted to trying to scare people into voting for. Another reason to vote for President Trump,” read an example of reactions as another suggested, “Awesome! Let’s hold every Biden/Harris voter personally responsible for the loss of life at the hands of illegals and for all of the fentanyl overdoses. Who is going to tell them?”

Meanwhile, others served up blunt statements along the lines of, “Never will watch one of his films again,” and, “Speaks a lot to how desperate they are.”
