Richard Spencer is quite a piece of work. He has been known for his advocacy for white supremacy. I mean, for all the hot air the Democrats have blown about white supremacists hiding behind every tree, there were bound to be one or two actual white supremacists around, right? But while Richard Spencer, the guy who supposedly coined the term “Alt-Right” held these views in the recent past, and has spoken on them in places like Charlottesville during the 2017 rally there, he claims to have moderated his views, enough to vote for Joe Biden (who is, we admit, a person of pallor) in 2020.

Now he’s throwing his weight behind Kamala Harris. Yes, really.
One of the United States’ foremost white supremacists is urging his followers to support Vice President Harris in the presidential election next week.
Richard Spencer, an avowed racist, antisemite and admirer of Nazism who coined the term “alt-right” and was a featured speaker when he took part in the deadly 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Va., called Harris the “best manager of the American empire.”
Spencer — who also gained international recognition after yelling “Hail Trump! Hail our people!” and being greeted with Nazi salutes during a white nationalist event in November 2016 — also condemned former President Trump’s strong support of Israel.
Now the legacy media, we must note, are famous for blowing things out of proportion, especially when there are cries of “white supremacists!” to be cried. But Spencer, at least in 2017, seems to have been the real deal. That’s interesting, since most of these supposed “white supremacists” are leftist fakes.

As recently as 2022, Spencer claimed to have moderated his views. As noted above, he claims to have supported Joe Biden in 2020:

Spencer, who was one of the key figureheads of the alt-right movement, tweeted how he is “on Team Joe” on Monday, adding in a self-made campaign slogan, “Liberals are clearly more competent.”
In a series of tweets, Spencer further explained his reasoning for backing Biden.
“The MAGA/Alt-Right moment is over. I made mistakes; Trump is an obvious disaster; but mainly the paradigm contained flaws that we now are able to perceive. And it needs to end,” Spencer wrote. “So be patient. We’ll have another day in the sun. We need to recover and return in a new form.”
He sounds like he’d be right at home in today’s Democratic Party. Quick, someone send Jaime Harrison a note! And get this guy on “The View,” stat – it sounds like they’ll love him.
Spencer’s not alone; the other confirmed, actual, living breathing white supremacist around today, David Duke, has previously praised Democrats:
Spencer said he planned to vote straight down the Democratic ticket in his home state of Montana, name dropping Democratic Sen. John Tester and Democratic House candidate Monica Tranel as other candidates he would back.
Spencer is far from the first white supremacist giving anti-Israel Democrats a second look. Former Ku Klux Klan boss David Duke publicly lauded squad Rep. Ilhan Omar as “the most important member of the US Congress!”

Wow. Just… wow.
To be fair, the Harris campaign can’t stop people from endorsing her or pledging their support. Both campaigns have been beset, from time to time, with claims of support from people who have all the electoral appeal of a six-week-dead woodchuck under the front porch. But these endorsements, for not only Kamala Harris but also Ilhan Omar, two “women of color” who claim that one can find a horde of ravening white supremacists under any flat rock – that’s just too funny for words.
And, of course:
The Harris campaign did not respond to request for comment from The Post.
You don’t say.
This seems appropriate.
