Former President Donald Trump traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday to hold a rally in a state the Trump campaign is confident that they can flip — Kamala Harris is now +0.2, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average, however, President Biden was +6.7 at this same point in 2020 and Hillary Clinton was +5.4 in 2016.

When in Green Bay, there may be no bigger name than NFL legend Brett Favre, who played quarterback for the hometown Packers, and Favre joined Trump at the rally to offer his endorsement and to declare to rallygoers, “Let’s make America great again.”

Favre shared his thoughts about Biden calling Trump supporters “garbage,” which spurred a whole other controversy when the media was whipped into a frenzy trying to cover for the president’s insult of some 74 million people.

“I want to address the comment that Joe Biden made yesterday that said the supporters of Donald Trump are garbage. How dare he say that,” Favre said. “Looking out I see police officers, teachers, nurses, grandparents, students.. everyday Americans that make this country great.”

On that note, the NFL great took to X on Monday to say, “In all the elections I’ve seen over my lifetime, I’ve never seen one where there was so much hate. It’s certainly sad to see.”

Trump joked about Favre’s popularity in Green Bay — he delivered the Packers a Super Bowl trophy in 1997 — and the size of his hands.

“I want to give a special thanks to a man you may not have heard of — Brett Favre,” he said facetiously, drawing a playful response from the crowd. “Man does he have a hand. This man shook my hand, his fingers are like sausages… he doesn’t throw the ball, he flings it.”

“What a great champion, what a beautiful boy and family,” he added, before quipping, “I heard him get applause and I’m a little upset because I think he got bigger applause than me! I’m not happy!”

And while Trump was lighthearted in thanking Favre for his endorsement, the campaign is serious about flipping Wisconsin.

“Under the failed leadership of the Harris-Biden administration, Wisconsinites are being hit with high costs for everything – groceries, rent, Medicare premiums, car insurance, and more. Kamalanomics is costing the average Wisconsin household over $1,000 a month more to cover typical household expenses,” the Trump campaign said in a statement. “Wisconsin families and retirees need a break. Under Kamala Harris, prices have risen by over 20 percent and real wages have declined. As Wisconsin seniors continue to see astonishing bills thanks to historic inflation, President Trump has real solutions for Americans living on fixed incomes. That’s why President Trump has pledged to help — eliminating taxes on Social Security, on overtime, and on tips.”

“Only a Trump-Vance administration will put Wisconsinites first, ensuring everyone from young families to retirees can save more. Trump’s commonsense agenda is exactly why Wisconsin voters will flip Wisconsin red in just a few days,” the statement continued.
