Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and the network that employs him, ABC, understand that the propaganda value he delivers for the Democratic Party and its progressive cause is far greater than any concerns about insulting the sensibilities of rational-minded viewers.
Or so they thought because the stunt appears to have backfired on the liberal ideologue.
On that note, “Crying” Jimmy Kimmel opened Wednesday’s show with what amounted to a 19-minute campaign commercial for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, with the alleged comedian endeavoring to convince Republicans not to vote for former President Donald Trump in what was billed as a “special monologue.”

“We are very divided, and not just because of Donald Trump, because of people like, if I’m being honest, me,” Kimmel said, feigning humility in the hopes of drawing in a few suckers. “I do a lot of mocking and belittling, and it isn’t always productive.”
“Am I biased against Donald Trump? Yes,” he added. “Do I think I have good reasons for being biased against him? Yes. And I’m probably wrong, but I think when you hear some of those reasons, you might agree with me, even just a little bit.”
Yet, in trying to appeal to Republican voters — assuming any are watching his show — it’s in Kimmel’s DNA to insult them.
“Maybe there’s a little voice in the back of your head saying, ‘I might not want this guy driving the bus.’ And if you’re one of those people who think Democrats are controlling the weather or Beyoncé eats baby skin, forget it. This is not going to help at all,” he said.
In the end, Kimmel delivered a long anti-Trump rant that was unremarkable compared to anything he might say on his show on any given night or anything you might hear on CNN or MSNBC at any given moment in the day.
He also engaged in an action that would have drawn immediate scorn from the powers that be had it come from a conservative commentator when he urged those thinking of casting a ballot for the 2024 Republican nominee, “If you want to vote for Trump, vote late. Vote very late. Do your voting on Thursday or maybe Friday.”
(Douglass Mackey was sentenced to 7 months in prison after the DOJ prosecuted him for encouraging Hillary Clinton voters in a 2016 meme to vote via text messaging.)
However, based on some of the reactions seen online, Kimmel’s efforts to elect Kamala Harris may have had the opposite effect.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X, which stands a good chance of being shackled if Americans make the mistake of electing Kamala Harris next week:
I was on the fence, but since Hollywood elites like Jimmy Kimmel are supporting Harris, I’ll cast a vote for Trump

The biggest scumbag, hypocritical sellout to ever grace network TV. The definition of ironic is the former star of The Man Show lecturing anyone on anything.

Jimmy Kimmel just told anyone voting for Trump to vote late or the day after. Isn’t that election interference? A meme maker with a much smaller audience was convicted for much less.
