So we all know that Tony Hinchcliffe made this joke about Puerto Rico on Sunday at Madison Square Garden:

The media went crazy for two straight days about this, and Tuesday President Biden chimed in.

Listen closely:

The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.

Yes, the sitting president of the United States, one week from Election Day, just called roughly half of his country’s voters “garbage.”

It was his “deplorables” moment, which is why the White House is scrambling to erase the quote.

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s”????

Yeah, I don’t think so, White House.

These types of edits even made the papers.

Politico eventually added the apostrophe:

Ten bucks says the media will label us distributors of misinformation for sharing this quote in the correct context, which is Joe Biden calling half of the country “garbage.”

It’s what he said. You can’t change it. This isn’t Orwell’s 1984.

When Biden says “his supporters,” don’t get him wrong.
He means all of us.
