Former President Donald Trump’s three hour interview with conservative podcast host Joe Rogan has reached nearly 40 million views on YouTube as of Tuesday afternoon.
The podcast episode, which aired on Friday, was viewed by 10 million viewers in less than 24 hours. That doubled over the weekend to 20 million views, and nearly doubled again to over 38 million views as of Tuesday. The wide-ranging interview occurred on the host’s “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
Trump’s appearance on the show comes as he tries to court young voters in the final days of the 2024 election. The former president has mostly stayed away from interviews, but has continued to campaign at rallies in critical swing states.
The numbers mark some of Rogan’s strongest for his podcast interviews. Rogan normally only reaches a couple million views on YouTube, according to the New York Post. However, his most-watched interview took place in 2018 and featured Elon Musk. It has accrued a total of 69 million views.
Rogan said he has also extended an interview invitation to Vice President Kamala Harris, but she would only able to speak with him for one hour, and would include him traveling with her on the campaign trail, which he would not do.
