MSNBC is deservedly being blasted into oblivion over shocking coverage of former President Donald Trump’s New York City rally.
In a stunning display of biased rhetoric, MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart claimed there were “chilling” parallels between the Madison Square Garden rally and a 1939 pro-Nazi rally at the same venue. Airing clips from decades ago of the event by supporters of German dictator Adolf Hitler, Capehart declared that Trump used Madison Square Garden as a “staging ground for extremism.”
Attorney and political commentator Marina Medvin noted in a reaction to the coverage: “I didn’t think MSNBC could sink any lower.”

Capehart’s delivery and the startling description of Trump’s “jamboree” filled with patriotic American voters was blasted by Elon Musk who called out the network as the “utter scum of the Earth.”
Wow, MSNBC is utter scum of the Earth

Steve Benen, a producer for “The Rachel Maddow Show,” penned a blog piece titled, “With racist Madison Square Garden rally, Trump and his allies prove Democrats’ point.”
“Before Trump’s event at the New York City arena, Democrats drew parallels to a Nazi event in 1939. After the gathering, the comparisons were unavoidable,” the piece declared, adding gasoline to the fire.
MSNBC was not alone in drumming up the inflammatory comparisons.

Logic being far from the minds of leftist Trump-haters, social media was quickly able to challenge the narrative.

The popular X account @amuse called it straight out “incitement.”
“Yesterday’s Trump rally was filled with Americans from every walk of life including orthodox, conservative, reform, and secular Jews. I saw a woman in a burka,” read a post. “It wasn’t an anything like a Nazi rally. Shame on MSNBC.”
Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk broke it down.
Suddenly, this week, the left decided that holding a political rally in Madison Square Garden was “Nazi” behavior, because some pro-Nazi people held a rally at MSG almost 90 years ago.
Never mind that Bill Clinton’s DNC was held at Madison Square Garden in 1992.
Never mind…

“The purpose of the Hitler messaging is very simple,’ he wrote in a post on X.
“They want to create permission for someone to try and murder Trump while also creating urgency for their rank and file to commit micro actions of fraud on the ground,” Kirk continued. “If you believe you are actually running against Hitler, what wouldn’t you do?”
“This is all about trying to motivate their maniacs to do crazy stuff,” he added, urging Americans to “Stay focused. Go vote. Pray.”

Many more joined in on social media to blast MSNBC and others twisting the MAGA message.

Those who liken Trump to Hitler and the MSG rally to the Nazi rally aren’t just smearing Trump, but minimizing Hitler/Nazis – which, given the antisemitic nature of the progressive left, may well be the point.

I would never say “the media are the enemy of the people”. We actually need a mainstream media that does its job.
But any media outlet which called Trump’s rally a Nazi rally or called him Hitler is the enemy of truth and democracy. And therefore an enemy of the people.
