Donald Trump loves to coin new names/nicknames for people and things, and near the start of his Madison Square Garden speech in New York City on Sunday evening, while reminding everyone that Election Day is in just nine days, the Republican presidential nominee and former president called it America’s “Liberation Day.”

You might consider this speech at the famous arena–better known for popular musicians’ concerts or sporting events–Trump’s closing argument to voters. The rally had a line-up worthy of the hype, including such diverse speakers as Bobby Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and one very special, surprise guest who introduced Trump’s appearance.

That surprising speaker was none other than former First Lady Melania Trump, making her first appearance on the stump during the 2024 election cycle since the Republican National Convention:

Melania’s upbeat message flowed perfectly into the address by her husband; a major component of Trump’s closing argument was a positive tone, which some may consider extremely un-Nazil-esque. Dems have worked so hard over the past week to craft this weird and dangerous narrative, though.

Touting “a message of hope,” Donald Trump vowed to “bring back the American Dream” for millions of Americans currently dispirited and hanging on by their fingernails under opponent and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris’ watch with Bidenomics:

He unveiled two new policies during the speech, including signaling support for a new tax credit meant to help families caring for their ailing parent or another family member:

He also announced the potential return of making interest on car loans tax-deductible, something which ironically ended during Ronald Reagan’s administration (remember the Tax Reform Act of 1986? That included reducing the burden of holding credit cards, too.) Regardless, Trump put his own spin on it, stating on Sunday that the plan might only apply if the car was made in the U.S.A.

Trump also clarified that he and his running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) aren’t just running against the debacles inflicted on the country by Harris and President Joe Biden, but the bureaucratic power structure that pulls their strings like puppets:

Then he laid into Harris, pointing to policies both from her time destroying California as its attorney general and U.S. senator, and while she was failing upwards to become the person who is one heartbeat from the presidency in the White House today:

Now that you’ve seen more of Trump’s speech (one great point about China and Biden-Harris’ negligence was covered by RedState’s Bob Hoge earlier), does any of this look or sound like a Nazi rally? My colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell has some of the deranged reactions to the smashing success Trump and his surrogates pulled off at the historic hall–and it’s glorious to point and laugh at such people:

As the strains of “New York, New York” filled the air, Melania rejoined her husband on stage. Former Pres. Trump, emphasizing the message of the classic signature song of New York legend, Frank Sinatra, sang along to the final refrain of “If you can make it there, you’ll make it anywhere,” as the live singer triumphantly belted out its finale.
