As his interview with the former president continued to tally millions of views, Joe Rogan revealed what he was thinking during the three-hour sit down.

Undoubtedly impactful, former President Donald Trump’s appearance on the “The Joe Rogan Experience” had set many on the left to panic. The day after, the host revealed some of his own thoughts on the marathon podcast as he answer the question, “Were you at all nervous for Trump?”

The prompting from actor and comedian Bryan Callen, who with Brendan Schaub and Eddie Bravo had joined Rogan for a fight companion broadcast Saturday, found Rogan offering, “I was definitely hyped up. I was excited ’cause I wanted to — there’s a lot of questions I need to answer.”

“Did you feel pressure?” came the followup from Bravo that earned the response, “No…not pressure.”

Amid the back-and-forth, Rogan revealed a takeaway for him was, “He’s a businessman, bottom line. He likes making deals. That’s what it is. Like, that’s his whole thing. And he’s got this ability to just keep going. This is what’s crazy. The podcast was three hours long.”

Amazed that Trump had not had anything to drink during the interview and hadn’t even used the restroom once during his time in studio, Rogan had also touched on some of the specific topics and how he approached them.

Schaub wondered about Trump’s vaccine stance, to which the host explained he didn’t press, “But I also wanted to be rigid because there was a moment when he brought up the polio vaccine,” said Rogan regarding conflicting views on efficacy.

On the files about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the point was made that people related to the case were still alive, leading him to conclude, “So what that’s saying to me is that the government was involved. But I said that and he kind of, like, danced a little.”

“He’s real good and you ask him a question and he starts to answer it, but then he takes you on a totally different route. But you gotta bring him back in, but you gotta be respectful,” added Rogan.

“You know, the problem with…the Trump stuff is just that the people look at the inflammatory things he says, the crazy sh*t, and they define him by that. But you also have to remember, this is a very bizarre combination of an entertainer and a businessman,” he contended as the president had touched on the “enemy within” remarks during the interview.

“My point is, people don’t know what to do with that and they want to pretend that all these other people are somehow or another, like, morally better because you don’t get to see the real them,” said the host. “Like, I don’t buy that. I don’t think you should either.”

“You should be suspicious,” Rogan said of the media efforts at manipulating coverage of Trump.

Meanwhile, as at the time of this post views had exceeded 26 million, The Bulwark’s Marc Caputo highlighted the impact of the interview Saturday afternoon and said, “In the 19 hours it has been posted, Rogan’s 3-hour marathon interview with Trump has racked up 19 million views (yup, a million an hour), and 331,000 have commented…Those numbers are bonkers.”

The host had made clear that Vice President Kamala Harris had neither agreed to nor decline the invitation to appear on the podcast. As people on the left reacted to the massive impact Trump’s sit down had, urging her to do the same, the suggestion that “A 3-hour non-scripted interview would end her,” had Elon Musk react, “Yup, it’d be a 3 hr train wreck.”
