Kamala Harris compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler in a shocking tirade outside the vice presidential residence.

The Vice President was responding to comments by Trump’s former Chief of Staff, John Kelly, who accused the former president of wanting U.S. military generals to emulate the loyalty Hitler’s generals showed to him. Kelly alleged that Trump admired Hitler’s ability to command absolute loyalty from his military – claims that were immediately debunked.

“Donald Trump said he wanted generals like Adolf Hitler had… because he does not want a military that is loyal to the United States Constitution. He wants a military who will be loyal to him personally, one that will obey his orders even when he tells them to break the law or abandon their oath to the Constitution of the United States,” Harris said, lying.

Her remarks, to use her own words, are deeply troubling. Former president Trump has survived two assassination attempts in the past three months, largely due to Democrat rhetoric labeling him as a dictator.

Harris’ desperate measure comes as her polling figures tank, which show her poised to lose every single swing state. Not that the numbers below aren’t a single poll, but the average of the most reputable (though given the polling industry’s historic bias in favor of Democrats, perhaps “reputable” isn’t the best description) polls.

Her administration’s handling of tensions in the Middle East have not been favorable to many voters, either. Whether her reference to the Holocaust was a ploy to claw back some of the Jewish vote may never be clear, but it’s unlikely to win them over if it was.

And yes, she said all of this from behind the vice presidential podium.
