Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday night slammed former President Barack Obama as a “jerk,” as the Democrat attempts to rally support for Vice President Kamala Harris in swing states.

Obama, who served in the Oval Office from 2008-2016, has stumped for Harris in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin so far. Obama has attempted to use his influence to win back support from black male voters that have shifted towards Trump.

Trump claimed that Obama appeared “exhausted” on the campaign trail, and that he has been more of a divider than unifier recently.

“I think he’s a real jerk because I’ve watched him campaign over the last couple of days,” Trump said during a rally in North Carolina. “What a divider he is. He divides this country. He couldn’t care less, him and his little group of people.”

Obama experienced backlash earlier this month after he chastised black male voters for not showing more support for Harris.

Trump also argued that turnout at Harris campaign rallies is so low that Democrats need to bring out people with star power, such as Obama and celebrities, to get voters energized.

“The reason they bring [Obama] out and other people …  is you know, nobody goes to their rallies,” the former president said. “So you know what they do? They bring in so-called stars. Stars that I’ve never even heard of. You know, these are not stars to me … But they bring out some people, and what happens is, the star comes in, they get a little bit of a crowd … They perform for a couple of minutes, and then they leave, and then the candidate gets up.”

Usher and Lizzo appeared at a campaign event for Harris in Georgia over the weekend.

Trump bragged that he gets a large turnout without live music or star power. However, Trump has been joined on the campaign trail by influential leaders such as Elon Musk, and former Pittsburgh Steelers Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown, and Mike Wallace.
