Arizona GOP Senate nominee Kari Lake announced Tuesday that her campaign office received an envelope with a suspicious substance in it and a note saying, “caution anthrax.”

“Today, my office received a suspicious envelope, potentially containing anthrax—an attempt to intimidate and silence me,” Lake wrote on the social media platform, X

Authorities are trying to determine if the suspicious substance is anthrax.

A campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital that authorities are investigating the substance and it is currently being tested.

“This isn’t just about me; it’s an attack on our movement. I won’t be intimidated, and those responsible must be brought to justice,” Lake said.

The campaign office had to be put on lockdown after a staffer opened up the envelope.

“I want to thank all the first responders and the hazmat team for their swift and professional response,” Lake said. “The time to unite against these dangerous, un-American tactics is now.”
