England has so-called “buffer zones” that make it illegal to engage in politically incorrect thoughts. This is why a British veteran has been convicted of thought crimes for praying in front of an abortion clinic.
Warning: This may invoke rage.
The behavior of these thought police is disgusting and one day they might just realize they were standing on the wrong side of history.
This cost him over $11,000 and the worst part is that he claimed to be “praying for [his] son.” And the fact that he cannot even do that is unreal, especially considering he probably had no say in whether his child lived or died.
This is so evil it’s incomprehensible.
According to the Catholic Review:
Adam Smith-Connor was given a conditional discharge — in which a fine or prison sentence will be imposed if he repeats his offense in the next two years — and ordered to pay prosecution costs of 9,000 British pounds (US $11,700).
The Oct. 16 judgment of the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council, or court, on England’s south coast, represents the first time anyone has been convicted for praying silently outside an abortion facility in the UK
They really made an example out of him, didn’t they?
The court decided that his posture had expressed “disapproval for abortion,” noting that his hands were joined in prayer and his head was bowed solemnly.
As the British would say, this is bloody mental.
In the case of Smith-Connor, conviction followed his being questioned by a police officer on the “nature of his prayers” after he had paused for a few moments outside the facility in November 2022.
The fact that a police officer can ask someone the “nature of his prayer” is astonishing and the antithesis of a free people.
The government has decided their political opinions come before your religious beliefs, which can only mean the government thinks they know better than God. And to call that evil would be an understatement.
Such activities that will soon be banned throughout the UK potentially include prayer, thought, peaceful presence, consensual communication and offers of practical support to women in vulnerable situations, should any of these be deemed to influence or interfere with access to the clinic.
Europe has lost the right to freedom of thought and this is deeply concerning, as it’s only a matter of time before that nonsense becomes your reality.
The state should never have the right to criminalize thoughts and beliefs but they have decided that is permissible so long as thoughts are concerning the killing of an unborn child. And the fact that the left believes this makes them compassionate is deranged and morally corrupt, to say the very least.
This is not the first time someone was convicted of thought crimes in the UK and it won’t be the last.
