So while it’s pretty evident that the majority of those working in Hollywood are as liberal as one can get, it’s unclear how many closeted conservatives there are. Nonetheless, Zachary Levi is urging actors to come out in support of Donald Trump if they can, emphasizing that the industry should not hold them back.
According to The Daily Caller:
“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said during an Oct. 1 segment that Levi’s previous claim that Hollywood is a “very liberal town” is “B.S.,” naming actors Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid as examples of “working Republicans in the industry.” Levi, in response to Goldberg, argued in an Instagram story that “closeted Trump voters” in Hollywood should not allow their fears of “ramifications” hold them back from supporting Trump since the industry “will not exist very soon.”
The most annoying thing about Goldberg is her constant denial of blatant facts. Everyone knows that Hollywood is a “very liberal town” and she just looks retarded denying that, especially considering she despises everything that goes against her radical worldview. She is everything that is wrong with Hollywood and the fact that she claims things are untrue when they are as evident as gravity is beyond comprehension.
“There’s plenty, and they’ve sent me lots of messages, plenty of people in my industry, in Hollywood, that are terrified to publicly say that they would vote for Donald Trump or be conservative in any way,” Levi said. “That’s why you don’t see them, that’s why they’re not very prevalent or prominent because they know that there’s ramifications for this kind of shit. But like I said, y’all, our industry gonna be fuckin gonzo, it already is. We’re getting eroded, the pandemic and the strikes and all of these things, they’ve already eroded so much. So, anyway, my cry to all of you out there, you closeted conservatives, closeted Trump voters, it’s now or never.”
How don’t more people see how wrong it is that the left has created an environment where people fear for their jobs and livelihoods if their political views are exposed?
“Do whatever you feel like you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, if you still can’t, then don’t. I would never pressure you to do that. But know that, if what you’re afraid of is somehow the backlash of an industry that’s not going to exist very soon, then don’t let that hold you back,” Levi continued.
No one should resort to Hollywood actors for political advice, as more often than not they are wrong. But when only people who think in some type of way are permitted to speak, that means something is wrong there.
Although Hollywood is becoming trashier by the day, it’s disingenuous how the industry tries to portray itself as compassionate and inclusive when it creates an echo chamber. There is no industry more exclusive and intolerant than Hollywood and, unfortunately, many actors fear losing their careers because their thoughts are politically incorrect.
