Government agencies were raked over the coals after a video went viral showing the federal response to hurricane relief efforts.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency were mocked and criticized by social media users after a video posted by CBP boasted about federal government agents working to help Americans impacted by Hurricane Milton.
“Along with our partners at @FEMA, we will continue with disaster recovery as a result of Hurricane Milton. The safety of the American people is our top priority,” the post read.
But it was the accompanying video of workers clearing out logs that set off social media as X users blasted the government’s inefficiency and wastefulness.

More than a dozen CBP agents can be seen passing a small log down the line to add to a pile of debris in the video.
“Government waste and incompetence in full view right here,” The Federalist’s Sean Davis wrote on X.
“Is it just me or is this an insane waste of resources?” NewsNation anchor Leland Vittert asked. “Put the @cbp officers on the border to stop [fentanyl] and hire some folks with chainsaws — what am I missing?!”
“And every single one of these people is drawing a full salary, pension benefits and medical benefits. While getting almost nothing done. Imagine that,” author Mike Adams wrote on X.
“What the f*** am I watching?” one stunned X user asked. “A couple of wheelbarrows, and you could do the same job with three or four guys. This right here is why government doesn’t work and can’t solve problems.”
And these were only the tip of the iceberg as the video has garnered more than 15 million views since being posted this week and more than 13,000 comments on X.
$1M+ in total salary in this video alone.
Elon wasn’t kidding. There is a ton of fat to trim in the federal government.

14 people to move a 12 lb log 30 feet.
This is embarrassing.

At this pace it will take 30 bureaucrats earning 150k/year about 2 months to do what a bulldozer could do in less than an hour

This ain’t the flex you think it is

Here is a perfect representation why we need a government efficiency agency.
10 people to move a 10 inch log.
This is how the US government works today.
I don’t know if I am more angry at the waste of resources, or at the fact that they posted this as a good thing worthy of…

15 people to move a small log 30 feet, couldn’t script a better video to describe the uselessness of this administration

If there was a poster child of a video for inefficiency this would be it.

The whole 20 people to move 1 small log is embarrassing enough but then this guy looks like he’s working hard but actually does nothing at all. As a former civil servant I can confirm that this is exactly what government jobs all look like. pic.twitter.com/PEBMSs1uzF
