British leftists are preparing to meddle in U.S. elections and stump for Vice President Kamala Harris in swing states, vowing to “show the Democrats how to win elections.”

“The Labor Party is organizing a visit by 100 former and current staff to boost Vice President Kamala Harris in battleground states, an unusual effort by British liberals to bolster their political allies across the pond,” the Washington Times reported.

“Sofia Patel, the Labor Party’s head of operations, said the staffers will travel to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia in the ‘next few weeks,’” the media outlet added.

She claims to have “nearly 100 Labour Party staff (current and former)” that will participate in helping Democrats win the presidential election. Patel is a lead planner for Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Labour Party in Britain. That party is comprised of social democrats, democratic socialists, and trade unionists. She used to be the head of field operations for former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“I have 10 spots available for anyone available to head to the battleground state of North Carolina — we will sort your housing,” the leftist Labour Party official stated on her LinkedIn page, which according to The Federalist has been deleted. As previously mentioned, Patel promised to “show Democrats how to win elections” in one of her since-deleted posts.

The involvement of the British in US elections skates right up to the edge of legality but it is not technically illegal for them to help Harris campaign on US soil according to The Federalist. However, it’s very bad optics for Democrats according to election law expert Hans von Spakovsky.

“From the standpoint of public relations, the Democrat Party has been the loudest complainer about ‘foreign interference’ in elections, starting with their false claims about Trump and the Russian government,” von Spakovsky, who is the manager of the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform initiative and is a former member of the Federal Election Commission, told The Federalist via email. “Yet, here they are accepting volunteers from a foreign political party? They are obviously soliciting and accepting foreign interference.”

“According to the FEC, foreign nationals are prohibited from making contributions or expenditures — including advances of personal funds — in connection to any federal, state, or local election. But ‘an individual who is a foreign national may participate in campaign activities as an uncompensated volunteer,’” The Federalist noted.

“The Biden-Harris administration has repeatedly warned about foreign interference, mainly from Russia, and has taken formal action to crack down on Moscow-guided online trolls. Democrats have criticized former President Donald Trump for hosting Hungarian President Viktor Orban, whose reforms are viewed as undemocratic,” the Washington Times wrote.

And that brings into focus the question of exactly who is paying for all this. Rep. Tom Tiffany, a Republican from Wisconsin, wants answers.

“If Democratic organizations are paying them, they need to comply with the campaign finance laws of the United States of America,” Tiffany told The Federalist.

“Von Spakovsky said if the Labour Party is paying British volunteers’ expenses while they work for the Harris campaign or is paying them a salary or stipend covering travel expenses, ‘then you do have a violation of the federal law against foreign contributions being made to, and accepted by, a campaign,’” the outlet contended.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) called the effort “yet another reason to vote for President Trump.”

The British getting involved in US elections reeks of desperation and are likely to go home with their socialist tails between their legs.
