It’s one thing when Americans cheat in elections, but it just grinds my gears that even foreigners are getting in on the act: Socialist politicians from Britain, no less!

“I have nearly 100 Labour Party staff (current and former) going to the US in the next few weeks heading to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia,” posted Sofia Patel, the Head of Operations for The Labour Party in the U.K. “I have 10 spots available for anyone available to head to the battleground state of North Carolina – we will sort your housing.”

While some people argued that this is illegal … this is actually allowed if the foreign national is uncompensated! Here’s what the FEC says about foreign national campaign volunteers:

Although foreign nationals may not make contributions or expenditures (including advances of personal funds) in connection with any federal, state or local election, an individual who is a foreign national may participate in campaign activities as an uncompensated volunteer. In doing so, the volunteer must be careful not to participate in the decision-making process of the campaign. The Federal Election Campaign Act (the Act) and Commission regulations specifically prohibit foreign nationals from participating in the decisions of any person involving election-related activity. For example, a foreign national volunteer may attend committee events and campaign strategy meetings, but may not be involved in the management of the committee.

The “we will sort your housing” line seems to be pretty relevant when it comes to the “uncompensated” bit. There’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the “no participating in the decision-making” part, though, since the Harris/Walz campaign doesn’t make any decisions.

What blows my mind (beyond the fact that it’s actually legal for foreign nationals who aren’t even residents to actively campaign for a political party in the United States and then just … fly home the second the election is done) is how people are nodding along to the what is essentially the British Communist Party announcing their support for Kamala Harris.

Can you imagine how they’d react if a bunch of Russian politicians flew in to campaign for Trump?!

While Biden-Harris have leveled accusations of “foreign interference” against Trump for years, they seem to be okay with said interference if it helps them.

From the Washington Times:

The Biden-Harris administration has repeatedly warned about foreign interference, mainly from Russia, and has taken formal action to crack down on Moscow-guided online trolls. Democrats have criticized former President Donald Trump for hosting Hungarian President Viktor Orban, whose reforms are viewed as undemocratic.

Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican and no fan of Britain’s liberal party, called Labor’s effort ‘yet another reason to vote for President Trump.’

I have one question, though: Is Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn going to make the trip, or is he busy mourning the loss of his dear friend, Hamas boss Yahya Sinwar?
