The group chats must have been ablaze over the weekend as, on the Monday network morning shows, ABC, CBS, and NBC aired similar 2024 campaign segments stirring the pot of hate toward former President Trump, arguing he’s filled with “dangerous,” “dark,” and “increasingly inflammatory rhetoric” about “political opponents” and “vilifying immigrants.”

In contrast, they all celebrated Vice President Kamala Harris “upping the pressure on Donald Trump” and calling into question “Trump’s fitness for office” by saying he’s “not being transparent” about his well-being. Of course, nothing was said by these tools about Harris’s role (as well as their own) in hiding President Biden’s cognitive impairment for years.

ABC’s Good Morning America was, of course, the worst. Co-host Robin Roberts hit the latter theme in her opening tease, gushing over “Harris releasing her medical records and challenging the former President to do the same, while questioning his fitness for office.”

Disney’s in-house North Korean news lady for the Biden-Harris regime — aka Mary Bruce — sounded like it were a thread on X for @KamalaHQ.

Along with bragging that “Harris is now questioning Trump’s fitness for office” and noting that “Trump would be the oldest President ever inaugurated”, Bruce gushed Harris was “upping the pressure on Donald Trump” by “hitting” him “for refusing to release his medical records or meet her for another debate” and refusing to “provid[e] many specifics” on his health.

Earth to Mary: You going to mention Ole Joe and the years of questions about his fitness? Of course not.

Bruce flipped the script for Trump, blasting him for “vilifying immigrants” and “using dark rhetoric to describe his political opponent, saying he might use the military against them.”

“Now, the Harris campaign called those comments dangerous, saying they should alarm every American,” Bruce huffed before closing with some press-release-y words about Harris’s “new economic proposals” for black men.

Trump-hating correspondent Rachel Scott broke down ABC’s latest polling, whining that voters still trust Trump more on the economy “despite the Biden administration touting economic wins, despite Vice President Kamala Harris really pitching voters on the economy.”

Weekend co-host Whit Johnson reiterated the health narrative in a second half-hour news brief and Bruce returned in the second hour to rehash the talking points her friends from the Harris team must have doled out.

CBS Mornings was brazen enough about their partisanship about painting a picture of Trump as a threat to America they put it in a chyron: “America Decides; Dangerous Campaign Rhetoric; Trump Threatens Use of Military on ‘Enemy From Within.’”

Wrongly embattled co-host Tony Dokoupil had the set-up, focusing on Trump “drawing attention, renewed attention, you might say, for more rhetoric, new rhetoric…going after his enemies.”

Correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns took time from her usual cri de coeur of abortion to knock Trump for “the increased” and “ramp[ed] up..rhetoric” on immigration.

She went soft on Harris (click “expand”):

HUEY-BURNS: At a rally in North Carolina, Vice President Kamala Harris slammed Trump for turning down another debate and mainstream interviews.

HARRIS: Why does his staff want him to hide away? One must question, are they afraid that people will see that he is too weak and unstable to lead America?

HUEY-BURNS: Earlier in the day, Harris attended Sunday service in the state as her campaign makes a more aggressive push to win over Black men, a critical voting bloc for which Trump is also competing. CBS News polling shows Harris has as much support from Black voters as President Biden did in 2020, but her campaign has concerns about turnout. And this morning, the Harris campaign is releasing a series of economic proposals specifically for Black men. Harris will be campaigning at a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania today[.]

NBC’s Today kept more of the focus on their huge poll showing a tied race in the popular vote and Biden’s record being a drag on Harris and a deep dive from Steve Kornacki.

They still made time to launder the Harris team’s talking points.

Co-host Savannah Guthrie made sure to emphasize Harris “released her medical records over the weekend showing that she is in, ‘excellent health’” as a way of “saying Donald Trump is not being transparent with his own medical records.”

Senior Washington correspondent Hallie Jackson made the first part of her report about the polling, but pivoted to the doomsday talk: “[T]he former president is deploying increasingly inflammatory rhetoric against his rival…and suggesting using the military against what he describes as domestic enemies.”

Notice how she was far more gentle about Harris’s preferred narrative (click “expand”):

JACKSON: Vice President Harris in North Carolina trying to put the spotlight on Mr. Trump’s health —

HARRIS: He’s not being transparent with the voters.

JACKSON: — pointing to Mr. Trump’s refusal to reveal his medical records after she released a letter from her White House doctor saying she’s in “excellent health.”

HARRIS: One must question, are they afraid that people will see that he is too weak and unstable to lead America?

JACKSON: Both candidates on the campaign trail all weekend.

(….)

JACKSON: As for that renewed spotlight on medical records, Mr. Trump’s team points out he released a letter from his doctor year, saying he’s in excellent health, although that three-paragraph note lacked some of the basic medical information the Vice President’s contained[.]
