Visiting an Arizona border front exhausted by the Biden-Harris migrant crisis, former President Donald Trump was prepared Sunday to unveil a plan  to expand the U.S. Border Patrol and reward existing agents with raises, aides told Just the News.

A senior advisor, speaking only on condition of anonymity before Trump delivered his speech, said the former president wants to expand the border patrol and retain talent.

The advisor said the plan is designed to “address the shortages of border patrol agents caused by the catastrophic failures and morale crisis caused by Border Czar Kamala Harris.”

Specifically, Trump will propose hiring 10,000 new border  agents and ask Congress to immediately approve a 10% raise for all border patrol agents, as well as a $10,000 retention and signing bonus, the advisor said.

“These moves will ensure that we can hire and keep the border patrol agents we need to keep our nation safe,” the advisor said.
