A horrific new video has surfaced showing former New York Governor David Paterson and his stepson being viciously beaten by two alleged city housing authority workers and their cohorts.

As previously reported, the brutal attack by five thugs took place last Friday night on NYC’s Upper East Side as the two were walking their dog outside a McDonald’s. The ex-governor is legally blind. No one stepped in to stop the brutal beatdown.

Patterson’s 20-year-old stepson, Anthony, is still reportedly recovering from the attack.

“Thank you to everyone for reaching out to check on Anthony. He is still recovering as he was violently beaten to the ground, while standing his ground with Governor Paterson who is recovering as well. I read that two of the attackers, both aged 30 to 45 took it upon themselves to ATTACK Anthony and Gov. Paterson as the other teens were trash talking, before kicking Anthony on the ground and punching Paterson. These adults escalated the violence and now are trying to claim that they are innocent?!! Despite the recorded video of the encounter seen below!” Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa posted on X.

“I’m disgusted to see two grown adults claim innocence after attacking a 20 year old and a 70 year old who is legally blind!!! If a former Governor can’t even be safe of violence, no one is safe. Too many #NYC families have had a loved one fall victim to violence,” the Guardian Angels founder added. “We have escalating violence in our city EVERYDAY. If we don’t get our city back in order, we will never be able to keep our most vulnerable residents safe.”

Patterson was the governor of New York from 2008 to 2010 and is currently married to Curtis Sliwa’s ex-wife, Mary Paterson. Meanwhile, crime has been escalating in the Big Apple with violent altercations becoming commonplace.

“The beef started when Anthony Sliwa chastised a group of youngsters who were climbing on a fire escape — with the brats returning and confronting him and his stepdad,” the New York Post reported.

“The footage, seemingly shot through a McDonald’s window, shows about a half dozen assailants kicking and punching Anthony Sliwa while he is on the ground as Paterson, 70, tries to pull them away,” the media outlet continued.

According to the former governor, one of the attackers slugged him and he punched him back.

“I threw him into the window of McDonald’s [and] I hit him again,” Patterson recounted to the New York Post. “The adults escalated the situation. The adults can rot in hell as far as I’m concerned.”

“On Monday, cops busted Travor Nurse, 40, and 34-year-old Diamond Minter — both employees of the New York City Housing Authority — and charged them with second-degree assault in the cowardly attack,” the outlet noted. Both are now claiming they were the victims, not Patterson and his stepson.

“Three youngsters, 12 and 13 years old, turned themselves into police and were charged, while a third boy who surrendered was released without charges after cops determined he didn’t take part,” the New York Post stated.
