The Washington Post is facing backlash for trying once more to revive the smear campaign against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Recall that back in 2018, Democrats and their corporate propaganda media allies waged a smear campaign against then-nominee Kavanaugh based on flimsy, extremely outdated allegations.

The smear campaign predictably went nowhere and Kavanaugh was eventually confirmed as a justice, yet years later, the Post is now trying to revive the smear campaign with a new twist.

In a new story published Tuesday, the Post cited a report from Democrat Sen. Shelton Whitehouse claiming that the FBI’s own investigation into the smear allegations was “constrained” by then-President Donald Trump’s White House.

“The report found that messages to the FBI tip line regarding Kavanaugh were forwarded directly to the White House and never probed and that the FBI had no written protocols for the supplemental background investigation ordered by the White House,” the story reads.

“It notes that the FBI was instructed by the White House to talk to 10 potential witnesses and was not given the leeway to pursue corroborating evidence,” the story continues.

The rest of the story continues in this fashion, with the implication being that the extremely tenuous allegations against Kavanaugh were never fully probed.

But critics say the whole story is absurd and ridiculous, ESPECIALLY in light of the Post’s refusal to even touch the latest accusations against second gentleman Doug Emhoff. Accusations that critics argue are far better sourced and less flimsy than the ones against Kavanaugh.

Critics also note that it’s unlikely Trump had that much influence over the FBI given how the agency had gone out of its way to target him and his presidency with the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory.

Look:

It’s not just the Post that’s ignored the Emhoff scandal. So has the entire corporate propaganda media, including ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, the New York Times, and more.

The latest set of accusations was published on Tuesday by the Daily Mail, which broke the original story about a week ago.

“Attorneys who worked with Doug Emhoff at his former firm Venable say he yelled expletives, held a men-only cocktail hour in the office, revoked work perks from women who didn’t flirt with him and took only young, attractive associates in a limousine to a ball,” the latest report reads.

“A 2019 lawsuit also claimed sex discrimination by other partners in the LA office Emhoff ran, and that while engaged to Harris, he hired an ‘unqualified’ part-time model as a legal secretary ‘because she was young, attractive, and friendly with the powerful men in the office,’” the report continues.
