As Americans inch closer to deciding the future of the country in November, Charlamagne tha God noted that things aren’t looking good for the left.

During a recent episode of his podcast, The Breakfast Club, the host remarked on how former President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance are discussing America First principles which is making them very popular with voters.

“Trump and J.D. Vance… they’ll be talking about things that are happening right here in America because it is an election season right here in America,” he said. “It’s always America First. But then you go to Tim Walz and they’re asking him about geopolitical politics, and I think a lot of times that makes them sound, you know, very out of touch.”

“When you hear the Vances and the Trumps talking about what’s happening here at home and saying things like America First and Make America Great Again, that messaging sometimes resonates a lot more. Not sometimes; it does resonate a lot more,” Charlamagne admitted.

As evidence of his claim, the host pointed to Harris’s weekend announcement that the administration will be sending $157 million to Lebanon, which was more than the $45 million that FEMA provided for victims of Hurricane Helene across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.

“People got outraged. They were like, yo, what about us right here in North Carolina? So that ‘America First’ messaging goes a lot farther,” he reasoned.
