Whoever advised Donald Trump to skip the 60 Minutes interview should be sent a muffin basket and given a key to use Trump’s bathroom with the gold toilet. I know that you know that Team Trump knows it would just be another attack. Now, instead of using Trump as a distraction, Kamala Harris is getting ALL the attention for her half of the interview. It exposed one of her biggest flaws… having to answer questions using words.

Yesterday’s preview was but an aperitif of how terrible she is. If this interview were a political disaster, it would be Tim Walz’s performance at the vice-presidential debate. At least Biden can blame onset dementia (allegedly) for his inability to communicate good. Kamala’s 60 Minutes performance was nothing but pure word salad. And you know how much Kamala likes to toss the salad.

Let’s check in to see what the streets are saying.

Mayhaps she was surprised Bill Whitaker pushed her gently and asked follow-up questions. It would explain why she’s going on sex podcasts and the shrill harpies from The View this week. But even generic progressive pablum like “fair share” didn’t fly. Just ask our greatest living president.

It was the first time she was challenged on the border and asked the obvious question of why it took Harris-Biden over three years to acknowledge there was a border crisis and to do something about it. Even discounting the usual blah blah blah “bipartisan bill” silliness, this was a horrible answer.

Oh. And the reason why she changed her position on *waves hands* everything she used to believe? It’s because she travels a lot.

No. Seriously. That was her answer.

I’m not about to tempt the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing. Anything can happen on Election Day. However, if Kamala should lose, her campaign strategy is one that needs to be studied. They hid her from the media — a friendly media — because the last time she was allowed to say unscripted things while running for president, everyone hated her. Now that she is in trouble, she is forced to give interviews after not getting her reps in AND while, because she avoided them for so long, guaranteeing each performance will be more scrutinized than they would. She is failing on every level.

But again: tempt, wrath, thing. Trump is two points down with only five points up for grabs. Bring two friends to vote.
