The vice president’s election exposure effort spoke for itself as Fox News host Jesse Watters let “bombing” clips from “60 Minutes” tell that tale.

Monday began a weeklong “media blitz” from Vice President Kamala Harris to start the final month of the 2024 election cycle. Unfortunately for her, even “safe spaces” behind corporate media production teams weren’t enough to cover for her word salad non-answers.

Previewing broader coverage of her interview with CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker, the host of “Jesse Watters Primetime” aired snippets from “60 Minutes” that had the White House wannabe’s vibes campaign feeling like a slow-motion car wreck.

“Kamala Harris’ media blitz is already bombing. ’60 Minutes’ just grilled her on immigration, she had nothing,” he said as he cued up a clip where Whitaker asked, “But there was a historic flood of undocumented immigrants coming across the border the first three years of your administration. As a matter of fact, arrivals quadrupled from the last year of President Trump. Was it a mistake to loosen the immigration policies as much as you did?”

“It’s a longstanding problem. And solutions are at hand. And from day one, literally, we have been offering solutions,” tried the vice president.

In just one instance of the correspondent restating the question after Harris had avoided a response, he reiterated, “What I was asking was, was it a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place?”

“I think the policies that we have been proposing are about fixing a problem, not promoting a problem, okay?” she tried, as though urging him to move on.

Instead, Whitaker pressed, “But the numbers did quadruple under your watch,” only to have her claim numbers were cut in half before pivoting blame to Congress “to actually fix the problem.”

“She had nothing,” noted Watters. “Then this happened.”

Responding to a question about what kind of gun she owns, the vice president said, “I have a Glock and I’ve had it for quite some time. And, I mean, look, Bill, my background is in law enforcement. And, um, so there you go.”

“Have you ever fired it?” came the follow-up question to which she said with laughter, “Yes. Of course, I have. At a shooting range. Yes, of course, I have.”

“Not sure what’s so funny about that,” reacted the Fox News host who earlier in the program shared other moments from the interview as a narrative was sold that Harris’ “play-it-safe” campaign had her coming across like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” responded the vice president when Whitaker had prompted, “It seems like [Israeli] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not listening.”

Watters on the other hand was certainly listening to Harris and he asserted, “I don’t know what she just said there. Even ’60 Minutes’ told her she’s not living in the real world.”

Following a clip where the correspondent pushed back on economic proposals seemingly based on little more than collecting a “fair share in taxes” from the wealthiest Americans, the Fox News host aired moments from the “Call Her Daddy” podcast where the Democratic Party nominee presented a $50,000 tax deduction as though it were a $50,000 handout to entrepreneurs looking to open small businesses.

She further failed to acknowledge the law regarding Selective Service requiring men to sign up for the draft and the Biden-Harris administration’s own COVID-19 mRNA shot mandates when she peddled the narrative that abortion prohibitions were laws on women’s rights where none existed regulating men’s bodies.

“No one knows what she’s talking about,” said Watters. “Does Kamala even know what she’s talking about?”
