With less than a month until election day, now is the time when we look to the “tea leaves” to see how things are going for the candidates. If you are a fan of Kamala Harris, it’s time for you to break into that emergency bottle of tequila you keep in your desk. Since the vice presidential debate, there have been three things in the news that throw up red flags. Unless you are a Trump supporter. In that case, these are three happy flags.

Let me be clear to my fellow conservatives: This is NOT to say Trump has the election wrapped up. I maintain the results of the Brodigan Statisticalizationizing Associates poll, which shows Trump two points down with only five points up for grabs. It will remain that way for the next twenty-eight days.

Polls at this point, judging by the last two cycles, resemble little more than a Rorschach test. However, the polls aren’t looking good for Kamala either.

Our first red flag went up after JD Vance embarrassed Tim Walz before a nationally televised audience. The next day, “anonymous sources” started chirping that the Harris campaign had no idea Walz was such an incompetent liar. It didn’t come up in their vetting. When you are the first campaign with the president and vice president blasting each other anonymously in the news, that is not a good sign that you think you are winning.

Another red flag is when other officials don’t want to be seen with you in public, like Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin, who did not attend Kamala’s rally with Liz Cheney in the state. The Wisconsin Senate seat wasn’t supposed to be competitive, yet here we all are. In comparison, Dave McCormick, who is running as a Republican candidate in Pennsylvania, was more than happy to show up for Donald Trump’s rally in Butler.

Then there is the Joe Biden problem. The Harris Campaign wants to convince voters that she had nothing to do with the unpopular Biden-Harris Administration. That is hard to do when Joe Biden goes out of his way to tell Americans she was with him on every decision he made, to the point onlookers think he is purposely sabotaging their campaign. With less than a month to go, her campaign (again, through anonymous sources) is looking for more ways to run far away from the sitting president.

All campaigns have internal polls that paint a clearer picture than most public polls conducted by journalismers. How a campaign acts and behaves as the election says more about how they believe they are doing. Judging by what we saw last week, Team Kamala thinks their campaign is in for a world of hurt on November 5th.
