Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell said that criticism of her agency’s response to Hurricane Helene is “dangerous” and suggested that hurt feelings could impact her employees’ performance.

There is no word to describe the federal government’s handling of the disaster in the Southeast other than dismal with de facto President Kamala Harris more concerned with campaigning and appearing on raunchy sex podcasts than helping Americans who are suffering in North Carolina.

On Sunday morning, Criswell was trotted out to do damage control, appearing on the regime media showcase “This Week” on ABC News where she fielded softball questions from activist host George Stephanopoulos.

The host cited an extreme example to discredit all of the agency’s critics, a standard tactic of the regime and its media propagandists.

“It has a tremendous impact on the comfort level of our own employees to be able to go out there, but it’s also demoralizing to all of the first responders that have been out there in their communities helping people, FEMA staff, volunteers,” Criswell said. “Volunteers, the private sector that are working side-by-side with local officials to go out and help people.”

“I need to make sure I can get the resources to where they are needed, and when you have this dangerous rhetoric like you’re hearing, it creates fear in our own employees.”

It was as thoroughly dishonest and cynical as could be expected from a regime apparatchik by suggesting that critics are also besmirching volunteers and private interests when the outrage has been solely focused on the failures of the government and the agency that is supposed to be tasked with disaster response. One that worked pretty well until the focus shifted to DEI and leftist politics.

The reaction to Criswell playing the victim was fierce as X users unloaded with their “dangerous” criticism.

Criswell will get a chance to prove critics wrong when monster storm Hurricane Milton slams into the Florida Gulf Coast this week with the stage set for potentially the most damaging weather disaster in U.S. history if it hits the populous Tampa Bay area and roars up the I-4 corridor through Orlando.

The nation’s eyes will be on FEMA which had best get its act together in a big hurry.
