Former President Donald J. Trump will return to the scene where he was nearly killed by a would-be assassin in what will be a “powerful, historic” moment.

On Saturday, the GOP nominee will hold a rally in Butler, Pa., two and a half months after a sniper’s bullet grazed his ear in a brush with death that could have altered the trajectory of history.

Trump was lucky, or God intervened as he believes, but Corey Comperatore didn’t make it home alive, being shot dead by Thomas Matthew Crooks as he protected his family.

During Friday’s edition of “Outnumbered” on Fox News, co-host Kayleigh McEnany and the crew discussed Trump’s return to where he nearly died in what will be a day packed with emotion where there will be a tribute to Comperatore and David Dutch, another rally attendee who was gravely injured on the fateful day.

“This is going to be an incredible, powerful, historic moment. Anyone who’s been to a Trump rally knows, and I’ve been to so many of them,” she said. “They’re inspiring events. They’re great events, there’s a lot of love of country.”This is going to be very, very different. After a second assassination attempt, who would have thought? Here we are, him going to the scene, showing American strength.”

“But also, the Comperatore family, going to this scene, those two little girls, their mom going to the place where their dad shielded them from bullets and saved their lives,” McEnany continued. “What an incredible thing.”

“And David Dutch showing up as well. David Dutch was shot once in the arm, he was shot once in the liver. He’s a former Marine and he is coming there too. This is going to send a huge message to the country of American resolve, American spirit, love of country, all of these people gathered together, I cannot wait to watch it.”

She would later correct herself, noting that Dutch was shot in the chest and the liver.

“BUTLER ON SATURDAY—HISTORIC!” Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social, sharing the iconic image of him defiantly rising up after being shot and thrusting his fist into the air, urging supporters to “Fight! Fight! Fight!” as blood ran down his face from where the bullet nicked him.

It was an image so stirring that some even linked it to the iconic World War II image of U.S. Marines planting the flag on Iwo Jima, even the former president’s political enemies in the media had to admit it, and that’s why it had to be disappeared.

After being widely featured in the aftermath of what was nearly the first assassination of a major party candidate since 1968 when Bobby Kennedy was murdered on his way to the Democratic Party nomination, the image of Trump was eliminated from the media, and censored by Facebook which flagged it as misinformation in another one of the “mistakes” that always seem to go only one way.

Trump’s triumphant return to the Butler Farm Show grounds will be broadcast live on Fox News. The rally is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. ET.
