MyPillowCEO Mike Lindell sent critics into a meltdown over pricing for his products that many claimed held a hidden meaning for white supremacists and neo-Nazis.

Lindell’s advertisement for his company’s standard pillows being on sale triggered leftists who claimed the $14.88 markdown price was actually more than it appeared.

“Sleep like a dream with our Standard MyPillow for just $14.88!’” the CEO and staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump wrote in ads across social media platforms.

A meltdown ensued online as social media users took up their pitchforks and torches to demonize Lindell.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, “1488 is a combination of two popular white supremacist numeric symbols.”

The organization notes:

The first symbol is 14, which is shorthand for the “14 Words” slogan: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” The second is 88, which stands for “Heil Hitler” (H being the 8th letter of the alphabet). Together, the numbers form a general endorsement of white supremacy and its beliefs. As such, they are ubiquitous within the white supremacist movement – as graffiti, in graphics and tattoos, even in screen names and e-mail addresses, such as [email protected]. Some white supremacists will even price racist merchandise, such as t-shirts or compact discs, for $14.88.

With the ads appearing on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook as well as X, users were convinced Lindell had a secret agenda.

Many others, however, dismissed the theories while some suggested Lindell was “based” and knew exactly what he was doing.
