On Thursday, Oprah Winfrey “interviewed” Kamala Harris in a livestream rally from Farmington Hills, Michigan. 

I have “interviewed” in quotes because it wasn’t an interview by a journalist. It was basically getting Oprah to help her deliver her campaign message. Except there was one big problem, as there always is when it comes to Kamala Harris. It was long on cringe and lies from Kamala, very light on answers and specifics. They even slipped in some celebrities to help hype Kamala, including Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, and Ben Stiller, who appeared on screen. It’s like bringing in musicians to her rally to try to hype views/attendance. Streep referred to Kamala as “President Harris.” Harris replied, “47 days.”

It was all about the vibes and named “Unite for America” — despite the fact that Harris has spent most of her time in her campaign being divisive and lying about her opponent. It brought together White Dudes for Harris, Cat Ladies for Kamala, and Train Lovers for Harris, among other groups. 

When Harris was asked about lowering the cost of living, her response was typical. It was an indecipherable word salad. 

“In terms of both rightly having the right to have aspirations and dreams and ambitions for your family and working hard and finding that the American Dream is, for this generation and so many recently, far more elusive than it’s been, and we need to deal with that. And there are a number of ways. One is bringing down the cost of everyday necessities including groceries. “

What the heck? So, what was her answer to lower the cost of living? “Bringing down costs…” 

Um, yeah, but how? That’s not an answer. But notice the woman is nodding her head like Kamala said something. 

At some point, she did talk about “price gouging” — but price gouging isn’t the reason for inflation. It’s just the thing Biden and Harris have decided to blame to deflect from their own responsibility for the problem. Nothing she said would solve the issue. As I reported the other day, she even undercut her own position on this, so she can’t keep her talking points straight.

Harris was asked about “specific steps for strengthening the border.” Kamala’s response?  She said she was a prosecutor and takes seriously a secure border. 

But what are the specific steps? She never said. She rambled on about the border bill that didn’t pass and tried to blame former President Donald Trump, but she didn’t explain why she didn’t do anything while being in office to fix the problem for the last three years or why she and Biden broke the border when they came in. They’re responsible for the problem. 

Oprah had to actually help her out and give her an answer.

If Oprah has to help you out, you may just have a problem. 

Then there was this incredible “two minutes of nonsensical wisdom” that just makes you want to go, “Does anyone really fall for this?

But one of the most unbelievable moments from Harris was her response on guns, where she claimed that if you broke into her house, she was going to shoot you, as she cackled. “I’m a gun owner,” she claimed.

“If somebody breaks into my house, they’re getting shot. Ha ha ha! Sorry, probably shouldn’t have said that! Ha ha ha! But my staff will deal with that later. Ha ha ha!”

Please describe your gun to us, Kamala, in fewer than three-word salads. This is all about trying to appeal to the middle. Is there anyone who believes what she says here? And the cackling is off the rails crazy. 

So that’s a problem. If you have to keep pretending you’re for policies that the right are for, it tells you they know Americans don’t want the left. It tells you she’ll say anything she can to get elected, despite her prior anti-gun comments and positions. She apparently thinks it’s cool she can have a gun, while she’s been trying for years to stomp on your rights. 

Then, what’s really funny: As she’s trying to tack to the right with this take, Oprah gives her such a look like she can’t believe it. “Probably should not have said that,” Harris said, suddenly thinking the left might not like this, but, hey, the staff will try their best to clean it up. 

So we’re just supposed to forget all about Harris’ anti-gun prior actions like calling for mandatory buybacks?

This, of course, is the real Kamala. 

Oprah went all in, calling on people to vote. 

“This is the moment for people who are tired of all of the bickering and all of the name calling, people who are exhausted by the craziness and the made up stories and the conspiracies,” she said. “You know that we can do better and that we deserve better. You know this. I know you know this… We’re better than this.”

Yes, Oprah, that’s why we’re not voting for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris — their craziness, made-up stories, and conspiracies. We’re not voting for the folks who lie about “fine people” or have pretended inflation doesn’t exist and the border is secure. We’re not voting for the people who caused the problems to begin with but are now pretending that they haven’t been occupying the office for the past three-plus years. 

Perhaps the funniest admission about this vibe-laden extravaganza was when Oprah confessed that she ran into a black man at the airport. I don’t think she liked the answer that she got.

Reality is not on Kamala’s side. 

You can have celebrities, you can talk about feelings, but people know how empty Kamala is. They know former President Donald Trump has done and will do a better job. 

Trump has the results; she has the failures.
