Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Wednesday the arrest of a Honduran illegal immigrant who had already been convicted of sexual offenses against a minor in the U.S.

The Honduran was convicted in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on March 13, 2013, for unlawful sexual contact with a minor, corruption of a minor by a defendant aged 18 or over, and indecent assault of a person under 13, according to an ICE press release.

The court sentenced the Honduran to six to 12 months of confinement.

The Honduran has repeatedly entered the U.S. illegally. ICE removed him on Feb. 28, 2007; April 27, 2011; June 23, 2017; and May 18, 2020, the agency also says.

In addition to the sex crimes, the Honduran has two convictions for re-entry after deportation, for which he twice received a sentence of 11 months. The man also has one DUI conviction, for which he received six months of probation, also according to the agency.

Arrested on Sept. 12, the Honduran will remain in ICE custody pending his fifth deportation.
