Dolton Mayor and Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Heynard spent $85,769 on a community event called the “Taste of Thornton” last month.

The event featured singers Keke Wyatt and J Holiday, who were paid a combined $50,000 for their half-hour performances. The township also paid comedians, and set up some $6,600 in bouncy houses for the event.

And yes, this is the same lady who is under investigation for ​​misusing taxpayer funds.

Lightfoot’s investigation into the town’s financial situation revealed in a preliminary report that Dolton’s general fund balance was $5.61 million in 2022, but by May 2024 the balance had dropped to a deficit of $3.65 million.
