What kind of man mocks a wife for being concerned after her husband survived an attempted Assassination?

A man doesn’t do that, a coward does. Unsurprisingly, Don Lemon mocked Melania Trump and rolled his eyes at her for expressing grief and concern over Trump’s assassination attempt.

In case you need another reason to call Lemon a POS, here you go:

According toThe Post Millennial:

In a reaction video, Lemon is seen making dismissive faces as Melania discusses the traumatic experience. When Melania described the attempt on her husband’s life as a “horrible and distressing experience,” Lemon rolled his eyes at the camera. Melania continued her video by questioning why there were severe failures by law enforcement to prevent the shooting from happening, which left Lemon waving his hands around and shaking his head in disapproval.

“I can’t help but wonder, why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech?” she said in the video. “There is definitely more to the story and we need to uncover the truth.”

Melania’s comments refer to multiple security failures on the day of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, had reportedly been able to fly a drone near the rally site beforehand and was seen walking around with a rangefinder and a backpack. Despite these red flags, Crooks managed to gain a vantage point on a rooftop to fire shots at the former President without apparent interference from the Secret Service. Following public outcry over these security lapses, Kimberly Cheatle, the Director of the Secret Service, resigned.

Not only did Lemon mock and essentially victim-blame her in the most cowardly way, but he pathetically deleted the video when it didn’t go as planned.

What was going through his head when he recorded that? How did he convince himself that was morally permissible? What if Trump wasn’t so lucky that day? Would it be alright with Lemon if she grieved then? How should she have reacted to make Lemon happy? And why is he making this about himself?

Maybe this is the only way he believes he can make himself relevant, but there’s really no sense you can make out of this nonsense. It’s not even clear if he feels bad for doing what he did, as he may have only deleted it because of the backlash. Nonetheless, the best thing to do would be to issue a public apology but he probably won’t.
