UFC President Dana White revealed that he had spoken to former President Donald Trump just one hour before he took the debate stage this week.

The CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship spoke of his conversation with Trump in a post-fight interview on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” discussing the ABC News-hosted debate between the Republican nominee and Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris.

White, who introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention in July and has had a years-long friendship with him, was asked if he had viewed the debate that aired Tuesday.

”No I haven’t seen it but I’ll tell you this, he [Trump] called me an hour before the debate,” he said. “I talked to him when I was coming here right when we had got off the plane, I was in LA today.”

“It’s the second time he has had to debate. He already did a debate,” the UFC boss continued, referring to Trump’s debate against President Joe Biden in June which ultimately led to the pressure campaign to boot him off of the Democratic ticket.

“They didn’t like how the debate turned out. They want to kick that guy [Biden] out. He’s unfit to run, yet he’s still the President of the United States. Now they bring in somebody who wasn’t elected to actually be in there,” he added, referring to Harris.

“They’ll only do it on ABC. It was three to one tonight. He was facing three to one,” he contended, calling out the bias of the debate’s moderators, ABC’s David Muir and Linsey Davis.

“So I don’t know how it went or what happened, but I know he took it seriously. He said, ‘I look at this like a heavyweight fight. I’m not taking anyone lightly,’” White said.

He would not divulge details about any advice he gave Trump ahead of his face-off with Harris, saying, “I’ll keep that between me and him.”
