So the FBI has already said the line…

…but we now have access to that encounter with police where in May of 2023 Colt Gray was questioned about his threat to shoot up a local middle school.

Here’s the bodycam footage:

From CBS News:

The sheriff’s office interviewed the then-13-year-old boy and his father. The boy said he was not responsible for the threats. The father said he had hunting guns in the house, but that his son did not have ‘unsupervised access to them,’ FBI Atlanta said.

‘Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject,’ FBI Atlanta said. ‘At that time, there was no probable cause for arrest or to take any additional law enforcement action on the local, state, or federal levels.’

No probable cause is correct. Though dad had all the probable cause in the world to do what he said he was going to do.

And then all the guns will go away, and they won’t be accessible to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, this shouldn’t just be a rule when your kid threatens to shoot up a school; this should be a rule, period — every single hour of every single day, no questions asked.
