Scott Jennings derailed a CNN commentator’s fear-mongering about former President Donald Trump’s “extremist” policies.

At the end of a CNN segment, as political commentator Maria Cardona wrapped up her propaganda pitch about Trump’s purportedly evil agenda, Jennings dropped a truth bomb that left her ranting about her “bodily autonomy.”

Discussing the latest polling, Cardona tried to gaslight viewers by declaring that it is Vice President Kamala Harris who is moderate and her policies are in line with the “majority” of Americans.

“One of the key things that was a takeaway for me in the CNN poll was that the vast majority of Americans already believe that Donald Trump’s policies are way too extremist and that it’s the vice president’s policies that are much more mainstream and in line with what the majority of the American people value and believe,” she claimed.

“That is what she needs to continue to focus on and how her policies will match that,” she continued as the segment was coming to an end.

But Jennings interjected with a simple question that ignited a powder keg with Cardona on set.

“If that were true, if people believe [Trump] is an extremist, then why isn’t [Harris] winning…? Why is he winning in the New York Times poll? Why is this race tied nationally?” he asked.

“You and I both know, if it’s a tied race nationally, there’s a 100 percent chance he’s gonna win the electoral college,” Jennings added as Cardona revved up to respond.

“We don’t necessarily know that Scott,” she said in a head-scratching response.

Cardona argued by bringing up the much-touted “red wave” of the 2022 election that did not materialize but she failed to note that was a midterm race and not presidential.

A new poll from the New York Times/Siena College found that nearly half of likely voters considered Harris too liberal or progressive, throwing cold water on Cardona’s hot take.

Cardona’s meltdown continued as she tried to drown out Jennings, claiming that polls are “underreporting.”

“They are not showing this massive mobilization of women and men that believe that women should have bodily autonomy that believe that our democracy should be protected, that believe that a commander-in-chief should not be a liar in chief and should not be a conspiracist in chief,” she continued, ranting about how “Republicans want to steal my bodily autonomy and the right for me to make decisions about my own body.”

Of course, Jennings’ point about the polling was lost in all the noise.

Poll findings tell a different story than the CNN commentator.

Social media users blasted Cardona’s “projection.”
