According to The Wall Street Journal, allies in Kamala Harris’ orbit are urging the Democratic Party candidate to stay quiet and avoid interactions with the press.

From The Wall Street Journal:

Harris’s ascension to the top of the ticket has energized Democrats and some allies have cautioned against doing anything that could slow that momentum, including lengthy interviews with media outlets.

So far, Harris has agreed to one debate and one pending interview.

“I’m talking to my team,” Harris said recently when asked about an interview. “I want us to get an interview settled before the end of the month.”

“I’ve always been on record,” Harris said during another press interaction recently. “I am looking forward to debating Donald Trump and we have a date of September 10, I hear he has finally committed to it and I am looking forward to it.”
