TULSA, OK — A local family expressed excitement as they packed up and prepared to head out for a fun day of swimming in a giant vat of other people’s urine at a nearby public pool.

The Peterson family was eager to carry on the time-honored summer tradition of gathering with hundreds of total strangers and gleefully splashing and frolicking in a massive festering cocktail of mingled wee.

“Ah, yeah, nothing beats a fun day of swimming around in a public pool full of pee,” family dad Mark Peterson said. “The local health department says the water is only 75-85% urine at most, so it’s going to be a great day.”

Mark’s wife, Clarissa, slathered sunscreen on the baby and set up a shade tent next to the giant lake of urine in preparation for a fun day of family togetherness. She explained that they know the water is pretty disgusting but it’s the best way to beat the heat on hot summer days.

“I just have the kids shower off when we get home,” Clarissa said. “With a family of five like ours, there aren’t a lot of things we can all do together, so we take our chances with the pee and hope no one gets Cryptosporidiosis.”

At publishing time, the Peterson family decided it might be time to get out of the water after a family with multiple toddlers showed up without swim diapers.
