While information awaits on Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks, consider wannabe presidential assassin Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, who praised Osama bin Laden for standing up to the United States. According to the FBI:
On November 11, 2011, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Ortega-Hernandez drove southbound on 15th Street NW and made a right turn onto Constitution Avenue NW. Shortly after passing the entrance to the Ellipse, he stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road. With the passenger-side window of his car lowered, he pointed his [AK-style] assault rifle out the passenger-side window of the car and aimed directly at the White House. He fired at least eight rounds at the White House.
According to a CBS report, Secret Service agents responded to the sound of gunfire but were ordered to stand down. Secret Service bosses thought the rifle reports were “construction equipment backfiring” or a “gang shoot-out.” The attack was not noticed until four days later when a housekeeper spotted broken glass and plaster around the Truman Balcony. The president and First Lady blasted Secret Service director Mark Sullivan, but deputy national security advisor Antony Blinken told reporters “I know the Secret Service is on top of this and they will take every necessary step to correct any problems.” They didn’t.
In 2014, Omar Gonzalez, armed with a knife, jumped the White House fence and gained access to the White House. Another man drove onto the grounds and rushed the presidential residence. According to CNN, “no guard dogs were released to chase him, which is normally standard procedure.” Those breaches prompted the resignation of Secret Service director Julia Pierson. Ten years later, Blinken is Secretary of State and Secret Service boss Kimberly Cheatle, in Biden’s view, is “easily the best choice to lead the agency at a critical moment for the Secret Service.” At a critical moment, Cheatle let Crooks get within range to wound Donald Trump, kill rally attendee Corey Comperatore, and critically wound David Dutch and James Copenhaver.
“The buck stops with me,” Cheatle told reporters, adding that she would not resign. Biden should have fired her on the spot, but that failure goes beyond the Delaware Democrat’s need for a spine transplant. In our Soviet Union, as in the original, senior government officials are basically zampolits, political officers selected for loyalty, not ability. The DEI ideology, which guarantees incompetence, is basically a proxy for fidelity to Joe Biden, who said it was “time to put Trump in a bull’s-eye.” The waxworks effigy of a president now claims that comment was a “mistake.” If anybody thought it wasn’t it would be hard to blame them.
